July 5- Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

As we celebrate the Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Jesus offers one of the most comforting invitations found in the Gospel: "Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28)

In a world that often feels rushed, demanding, and uncertain, Christ gently reminds us that we do not have to carry our burdens alone. He knows our struggles, our worries, and the weight we sometimes carry in silence. Rather than asking us to be perfect or to have everything figured out, Jesus simply invites us to come to Him with open hearts, trusting that His love is greater than any burden we face.

This week's readings beautifully reveal the heart of God-a King who comes in humility and peace, a Father full of compassion, and a Saviour who offers rest to all who seek Him. His strength is found not in power or prestige, but in gentleness, mercy, and unconditional love.

Here at St. Andrew's Parish, we continue to experience that love through the life of our parish community. As summer brings opportunities for fellowship and faith, we invite you to join us for our upcoming Parish BBQ, our inaugural Young Adults Ministry Get-Together, our Children & Youth Pilgrimage to Martyrs' Shrine, and our annual Parish Picnic. Whether you have been a parishioner for many years or are visiting for the first time, there is always a place for you in our parish family.

We also encourage everyone to participate in our Parish Census as we continue building a stronger, more connected community. Your voice and your presence help shape the future of our parish and strengthen the ministries that serve God's people.

As you read through this week's bulletin, may Christ's invitation echo in your heart. Bring Him your worries, your hopes, your joys, and your struggles. Allow Him to renew your spirit, strengthen your faith, and remind you that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

May we continue to find our rest not in the busyness of life, but in the loving embrace of Christ, who never grows tired of welcoming us home.
